Fitness Pool session times Wednesday: 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm followed by a social hour. Saturday: 7.30 am - 8.30 am with breakfast afterwards at the pool cafe. Sunday: 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm. On arrival at the pool side check in with the Club president or other committee member. You can check with the Wellington Regional Aquatic Centre - phone 3878029 - for updates or changes to the HCM practice schedules. Pool The pool complex consists of three pools, a gym, plus a cafe. Our swimming workouts are in the 50m pool. This pool is usually divided into three 25m pools, by movable barriers. HCM normally hires up to 4 lanes, which are run as fast, medium, and slow lanes, together with a casual lane. The fast, medium, and slow lanes swim to a variable supplied program. For example the fast lane may swim about 3.2 km and the medium lane 2.4 km over the course of the hour long workout. Directions to the Pool The Wellington Regional Aquatic Centre complex is based in the Wellington suburb of Kilbirnie, on the eastern side of Kilbirnie Crescent. A No 14 ( Wilton ) bus from the city stops at the pool entrance in Kilbirnie Crescent. Impact on your pocket Currently there is a pool entry charge of just over $5.00 for an adult. A concession ticket will reduce this cost. Plus either of the following two membership options for 2012. HCM social membership at $45.00 per year New Zealand Masters membership, plus HCM social membership at $95 per year. Option 2. enables you to: a. compete in NZ Masters sanctioned meets. b. receive a email subscription to the two monthly NZ Masters Swimming magazine, "Masterscrawl".
